Hello.
I wonder what you might be searching for?
Are you grappling with anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness or feeling overwhelmed.
You may be coping with loss, or navigating life events or transitions.
Perhaps you're looking to expand neglected parts of yourself through creativity,
towards greater authenticity.
Psychotherapy can be a useful way to explore these challenges.
Before completing my MSc in Psychotherapy through Warwick University I worked for many years in a highly pressurized corporate environment as well as in early years and adult education.
I am also a wife and mother to two fully grown children and I have lived in several different countries around the world which has given me an insight into the challenges of the intersection of different cultures and backgrounds.
I have many years of experience working with clients through Cotswold Counselling and Wiltshire Mind as well as privately.
I offer online or telephone counselling anywhere in the UK and work face-to-face in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. We usually start with a free 15 minute online consultation, during which we can decide if we
want to work together.
For clients wishing to proceed, we agree a recurring time slot for future therapy sessions, either for a fixed term or on an open-ended basis. These sessions are 60 minutes long and are held weekly.
My fee is £65 per hour.
I offer limited concessionary rates by agreement.
I work in partnership with clients to explore with curiosity, creativity and compassion.
I take an holistic approach – that all elements of our lives – mind, body, feelings and spirit – play a part in our life experience.
I integrate a range of psychotherapeutic approaches to find the one that works best for my clients.
The innate drive which every human has to grow and increase their capacity may not feel very present for you at the moment, but it has given you the courage to take the first step towards finding a solution to your difficulties. We will explore and expand that together.
People come to therapy for many reasons:
For help with short term goals or long-term self-exploration;
To look at patterns of relationships which don’t feel healthy or to be supported in change;
To find ways of understanding things that have happened in the past which may have been painful or traumatic and perhaps choose a different path in future;
To examine self-limiting or esteem-damaging beliefs;
To share difficult, perhaps overwhelming feelings with a non-judgemental listener in a confidential setting;
To think about their identity and roles in different groups;
To navigate life events and life-stage transitions.
I have offered counselling and support for clients with a wide variety of
concerns, including
- relationship difficulties such as separation, estrangement, divorce and controlling relationships
- childhood trauma including sexual abuse and childhood abandonment
- loss and grief related to death, miscarriage, abortion or life-changing accidents
- clients who have wanted to understand and build on their personal identities and clients grappling with transitioning to new life stages or different sexuality
- neurodivergence
- managing anxiety and panic attacks

My sessions last 60 minutes and are held either in the quiet, comfortable surroundings of the rooms at 84 Dyer Street or online, using Google Meet. If we work online, it's very important for you to have a space that is free from interruption or evesdroppers, so that you can speak freely. During the first session we agree on a contract of how we'll work together and discuss what you would like to achieve in therapy. Most sessions are like a conversation between us, although we might also do some creative work with art materials or some mindfull relaxation. We agree all stages of the session together - nothing is 'done to' you, the client without your understanding and agreement.
I recommend that you and I have a free online conversation which will enable you to decide if therapy will be helpful to you and whether you feel comfortable working with me. We'll discuss your goals and how counselling might help you achieve them.
Counselling is a highly unique and individual process. There is no prescribed length of time it takes: some clients have a few sessions to achieve a very specific goal, while others find therapy useful for several years. It can sometimes take a few sessions to feel completely comfortable with the therapeutic process and derive the most benefit. We will 'check in' regularly to review this.
I offer therapy sessions Monday through Thursday. Please contact me to schedule an appointment.
I take your privacy very seriously. All information shared in therapy sessions is confidential and will not be shared with anyone without your explicit consent.
I charge £65 for a 60 minute session.
