GOMASHIO PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy is important to me and you must feel confident that your personal information will be kept safely and securely and used only for the purpose for which you gave it to me.  In line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Therefore I am required to share the following information regarding how your data is protected:

What Information do we hold?

In support of our counselling work we collect the following information:

Name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, GP, medication details and session records.

What do we do with your information?

Client information that we hold is used for the purposes of delivering counselling services. Where and when that is no longer required, information is kept and/or destroyed in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.

Your details will never be shared with a third person without your agreement or unless instructed by a Court Order. In this unlikely event we would always inform you.

The right of Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)

Any client may request that their details are removed from paper files and/or electronically. A letter/certificate will be issued to confirm this has taken place.
